Paris is for Pooches!

The first in a series of silent shorts! I had so much fun making this, I might become a doggie stage mom. Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

Sweetheart of the Rodeo: A Western Love Story

This piece was commissioned by the best dog trainer in the world--Miss Megan at Capricorn Dog. Yes, we call her "Miss Megan," as if my dogs are capable of using titles of respect. When Megan said, "Goblin has to be Sweetheart of the Rodeo", I knew it was kismet. With about 12 pairs of cowboy boots in my closet and counting, I am a country girl at heart.

And while I always thought my teal boots with red roses were a bit out there, I had never considered the fact that vintage western shirts are even MORE over the top! The illustrator in me went absolutely nutty over the elaborate embellishments. SO much fun to draw inspiration from!

Goblin only dresses in vintage western. While her shirt is no longer available, you can snag similar duds at cowpunkabilly.

Project Adopt Me! Margot

I had the great pleasure of meeting Margo in person, and I have to say that if my son wasn't allergic, I would have escorted her straight home in a skinny minute. She is really such a lady--gracious, lovely, and wildly amusing. You are cordially invited to make her acquaintance at PAWS Chicago

Favorite Things: More Shoes and the Perfect Pair

My favorite shoe + my husband's favorite shoe = the perfect pair!
For the record, my husband bought his Bruno Magli shoes before OJ made them popular! He never wears them, but seeing them brings me right back to 1997, when he travelled all the way to Italy for just two days because I was so homesick while on my Junior Year Abroad.
